My Approach
My approach to treatment is rooted in compassion, understanding, encouragement, skills, and values. I know anxiety and OCD can be challenging, so I try to be very intentional on meeting you where you are, and go at the pace that feels right for you.

Many people feel stuck because of unhelpful assumptions or beliefs about anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I offer clear, supportive psychoeducation to help you better understand anxiety and OCD, and to gently shift the way you relate to these experiences. Together, we’ll explore your values and the direction you want your life to move in—especially where anxiety may be getting in the way. I genuinely want to understand what matters most to you, what you value, and what you want your life to stand for. I also enjoy teaching practical, evidence-based tools that can be used during moments of distress to build confidence and a sense of independence. Using these skills, we’ll work collaboratively to face anxiety and OCD with intention and courage, rather than allowing avoidance to take the lead.

I also believe that treatment can be enjoyable (yes, really!). Discovering a potentially new strength to tolerate anxiety and OCD can be both fun and empowering. I love incorporating humor into the process as well, because often the thoughts our minds give us can be downright silly! Laughing at those thoughts can help shift our relationship to them and increase our ability to tolerate them.

My approach integrates proven treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Habit Reversal Training (HRT).
